How you doin'? You can find today's strip right here as usual.

Did you know that it's light out here at 4AM? Yep. And by 5AM, it's light enough to read by. Out of all the ways I might have chosen to discover this fact, seeing it first hand was not my first choice. And yet, there I was, staring out the window early this morning (Thursday), desperately trying to fall asleep.

So, I haven't been sleeping well lately. I've got a lot of theories as to why this is, but the reason seems to be that my mind just refuses to turn itself off. While I'm lying in bed, trying to fall asleep, my mind ruminates on stories that I'm working on, life problems, and plans for the future. On the upside, the way my sleeping schedule is currently set up, I will be on EST time when I get back to the states. On the downside, this is about six weeks away. Ah, well, it's getting closer all the time.

Because of my lack of sleep, you'll have to pardon me if today's update is neither terribly long or especially coherent. I used today, the day of my penultimate lecture for school, to finish up a paper, and work on reading a book I have to write a review of for next week. The reason I'm getting all this work out of the way is because my mother, my aunt, and two of my uncles are coming to visit next week, and all this stuff happens to be due smack dab in the middle of the week.

With that said, I'll mention a few blurbs that caught my attention today. First up: I may need to buy a PC. Nah, I probably won't go that far, but it's looking like if I don't have one, I won't get to play the one game that I would literally kill Tony, Kai, and Jason to play. Ah hell, throw in John Brooks too! What could possibly induce me to homicidally dispatch of my best friends? Star Wars: Galaxies, baby. For years, I was addicted to online MUSHs, games where you'd interact with other players from around the world, and play at various roles. I literally whiled away a large portion of my high school life doing this, and that was text based. So, actually, it's probably a good thing that my computer won't be able to play it. More time to concentrate on real life. Yes, must keep telling self... Oh, while you're over at LucasArts, be sure and check out their latest release for Jedi Knight II, it also looks like a badass followup to the original Jedi Knight, and Dark Forces. And something else I can't run...*grumble*. Remind me to write an irritated letter to Uncle George.

Next thing, and this'll probably interest the comic fans out there: at long last, Marvel has announced that they plan on providing that most mysterious of mutant superheroes, Wolverine, with an origin story. Now, I haven't read X-Men in years, but of course, Wolvie was always the big enigma. Where'd the claws come from? What is his relationship with Sabertooth, really? Is he...Canadian? Anyway, details about Logan's story are being kept under wraps, but we can expect to see the six-issue miniseries sometime this fall. Should be interesting.

Visit the forums. They are lonely without you.

Now, to get some sleep. Perchance, to dream, and all that rot. See you on Monday!

Dan Moren has not been able to get to Penny Arcade since last week. No doubt this is the true root of his sleepless nights.

Quote of the Day: " and for the million hours that we were / well I'll smile and remember it all / then I'll turn and go / while your story's completed mine is a long way from done."

Ladies and gentlemen of the jury -

I wish to call your attention to the fact that there currently is no Friday strip, and I throw myself at your mercy in the hopes that you forgive me, your most humble servant, for having a computer at home that crashes whenever I look at it. The strip will be up today - oh yes, it will be up. It just might take a roll of duct tape and a few industrial gauge staples to seal the deal. So come back this way around, say, noon, and I'll tell you if I made pretty yet.
